Oliver is heartbroken when he discovers the woman he loves is married to a handsome Foreign Legion officer. To forget his troubles, Oliver and his sidekick, Stanley, decide to join the Foreign Legion and leave their problems behind. The two military men create chaos wherever they go, and both end up jailed as deserters, sentenced to death by a French firing squad. But the two escape and, who would guess, steal an airplane for their escape. The two pilots have a wild and very humorous flight over the desert landscape in their search for freedom. A fine example of early 20th Century Hollywood comedy.
